Jailbreak iOS 10.1.1 iPhone 7 & Plus – Yalu and Cydia Impactor
Update 4-January-2017: Luca Todesco has announced
that a fix has been posted bringing yalu jailbreak support to the TSMC iPhone 6s/6s+ and the iPhone SE. The yalu jailbreak now has support for the iPhone 7/7+, iPhone 6s/6s+, iPhone SE, and iPad Pro.
“Since people seem to not know yet: a fix for TSMC has been posted for both SE and 6s. So support should now be complete for those devices,” says Todesco. “I suggest using @sticktron’s
6s TSMC fix, no one else’s.”
Warning / Disclaimer: This Yalu iOS 10 jailbreak is under testing and may brick your device, therefore you must do this iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak on your own risk. This Jailbreak method is not an untethered. It is Semi untethered such as the previous Pangu Jailbreak ( iOS 9.2 – 9.3.3 ).
It means you have to Jailbreak every time you reboot your device. But you don’t want to use a computer. (One click Jailbreak ) Cydia is fully functional. But it is not stable.
MobileSubstrate doesn’t work
It is an only Basic jailbreak. You must have an idea to access to iOS system root to place all other components.
Almost every Jailbreak apps and tweaks are not working with this Jailbreak ( until now)
Jailbreak doesn’t available with iOS 10.2
How To Jailbreak iOS 10.1.1
Make sure to backup your device using iCloud or iTunes. Only continue if you have an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus on iOS 10.1.1.
Download the latest Yalu jailbreak IPA from here and Cydia Impactor from here and save them to a folder on your computer.
Right click the Impactor zip and extract the archive.
Launch Impactor from the extracted folder. DO NOT Run as Administrator.
Click Run if asked to confirm.
Connect your iPhone to your computer via USB and making sure to select Trust if prompted.
Drag and drop the mach_portal+yalu IPA downloaded earlier into the Cydia Impactor app.
You will be asked to enter your Apple ID and password. This is only used to sign the IPA, letting it run on your device.
Cydia Impactor will sign the IPA and install the new Yalu jailbreak app (mach_portal) on your device.
Once the app has successfully downloaded to your device you must trust the developer profile created under your email address.
Tap Settings, then General, then Device Management.
Select your email from the Device Management menu
Tap Trust (your email)
Click the Trust button from the popup that appears
Return to the Home screen and launch the Yalu (mach_portal) app.
You’ll see a white screen displayed for about 15-20 seconds.
Your iPhone will now reboot and you’ll have Cydia on your SpringBoard! Congratulations, you’re jailbroken!
After each restart you will need to relaunch yalu (mach_portal) as this is a semi-tethered jailbreak. After relaunching yalu (mach_portal), you’ll be able to launch Cydia and enjoy your jailbreak.
***A big thanks goes out to the Luca Todesco, Ian Beer, and all the others who had a hand in creating this jailbreak.
